Robert Steele


A co-founder of Exchequer Software and instrumental in building the business for over two decades; starting out in 1986 and eventually leaving in 2007, 2 years after it was sold to Iris Software.  In 2012 Rob met Ian Andrews and the journey with iplicit began.  His success at iplicit is based upon a very familiar formula; bringing pioneering software to market supported by a team of passionate, customer-focused staff who are committed to delivering an award-winning service to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.

Paul Sparkes

Commercial Director

A respected and well-known software industry professional having worked in the accounting and business software sector for past 27 years. He has helped thousands of organisations with consulting, implementing and evolution of leading product teams developing software solutions.  Throughout the changes of ownership, from the original Exchequer business to IRIS and then Advanced, Paul continued as one of the few constants for Exchequer offering until his departure in 2016.

Ian Andrews

Technical Director & Founder

The founder of iplicit and the vision behind the proposition.  Expert at motivating technical teams to deliver extraordinary results. Developing and implementing business-critical software applications, especially Finance and ERP solutions, for the last 27 years, Ian combines an in-depth technical knowledge and expertise with a strong understanding of business and operational needs across a wide range of private, public and third-sector organisations.


Brian Weaving

Product Director

An expert in Accounting Software with over 20 years’ experience of designing, implementing and upgrading financial solutions.  At the forefront of ERP, Brian has worked consistently with the latest technologies and trends within the industry.  His first-rate business analysis is backed up by excellent technical skills and accountancy knowledge.

Sam Curtis

Customer Services Director

Extensive experience and expertise in accounting solutions, having worked in the finance software industry for the past 20 years.  Sam’s passion lies in implementing efficient systems and operational processes that enable businesses to achieve their strategic objectives.  Initially starting at Access Accounts, Sam moved to Exchequer Software where she enjoyed a successful 8-year career specialising in training, project management, software implementation and client relations.

Matt Woolf

Non Executive Director

An Oil futures trader from 2001 working at ABN Ambro, ADM commodities and Fortis Bank, forming his own oil trading company, Dusell Trading Limited in 2006. The success of this venture, during the subsequent decade, enabled Matt to transition into a Non-Exec, Mentor and early stage investor for a wide range of high-growth tech investments ranging from Cyber security to Finance.

Also a keen sportsmen, currently trying to maintain playing off scratch at various memberships including Loch Lomond and Beaverbrook.

Darran Fitzpatrick

Non Executive Director

A Software and Technology Entrepreneur for the last 30 years, Darran has owned and directed a number of companies in Ireland encompassing accounting software distribution and delivery, computer manufacturing, networking and IT services, payroll software, and broadband related technologies.

A seasoned ‘hands-on’ serial entrepreneur, having built and sold 6 companies during the last 30 years. With a strong technology bias within his portfolio, Lyndon has been involved in developing businesses from start-up to 400+ employees.  With a particular focus on Sales and Marketing,  he is expert in developing growth strategies for delivering service-orientated propositions through highly focused teams.
