Don't Take Our Word For It

Here's What Our Nonprofit Customers Say

HPA-case-study-header-DARK-1

Health Poverty Action

Sandra Tcheumeni Boschet, Head of Finance & Administration

"The timesaving we experience with iplicit is enormous! We are currently preparing our year-end process, and already we are saving six weeks consolidating the various project balance sheets from various QuickBooks versions. Just take Donor Reports as an example – it’s essential that we have transparency and can report back to Donors on how and where their funds have been spent. With our old system, each Donor report would take three weeks to produce, with iplicit, if all data has been entered correctly, a report can be done in less than 2 days!”

The Charleston Trust

Louise Zandstra, Director of Finance and Enterprise

“Being able to see the two companies – the main Trust and its trading company – side by side in one ledger is amazing,”

“I really like the way I can quickly and easily change how I view information within iplicit. I can view by fund, by period, by project, just by changing the view with the little cog icon in iplicit, rather than by running six different reports. When I realised I could do that, I thought: ‘Mind blown.’”

“iplicit’s implementation consultant was great at training everybody remotely. We’re really delighted by it.”

Yorkshire-Wildlife-Trust-case-study-header-DARK

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust

Darren Tiffney, Director of Finance and Central Services

We were using Exchequer when I joined Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, but we’d grown to a £10m-£12m turnover and it was creaking at the seams. I had a sense immediately that iplicit was the right fit. We’re quite a complex charity in the way we’re constructed so it was important to work with the right people as I knew it wasn’t going to be straightforward.

"My finance staff like the fact they can access iplicit from anywhere and are already saving time. To reconcile the main bank account would have taken half a day. Now it takes five minutes."

Unrestricted funds blog for charities

Why charity finance teams could have to spend more time dealing with restricted funds

Charities are likely to spend more time grappling with the complexities of restricted funding after signs that a rising number of grant awards will come with more strings attached.

The number of charities receiving unrestricted funding rose sharply around the time of the Covid crisis, from 46% in 2019 to 60% in 2022, according to a recent Third Sector Report. But that figure may be set to fall, with more funders attaching their grants to specific projects and purposes.

What charities can do about the cost of living crisis - Advice for non-profit finance teams

The cost of living crisis is piling pressure on charities from all directions.

For many, demand for what they do has increased, while galloping inflation has hiked up the cost of providing those services.

Meanwhile, the proportion of people donating to causes has not returned to pre-pandemic levels – and the value of money in the bank is being eroded all the time.

Improving efficiency in finance blog for charities

4 ways to increase efficiency and reduce errors in your finance function

One main cause of inefficiency is manually rekeying financial information from one system to another.

On-premise software don't allow disparate internal functions to ‘talk’ to each other. And entry-level software like Xero, while great at this kind of integration, can’t handle more complex tasks like producing consolidated accounts from multiple legal entities. The rekeying is not only mundane and time-consuming but is also inherently prone to human error.
