The outdoor cricket season begins again for OE Bears, part of the Old Elthamians Cricket Club in Chislehurst.
Old Elthamians CC is an ECB Clubmark accredited club that also enjoys Kent Cricket Board Focus Status. Clubmark is a cross-sport quality accreditation for sports clubs with junior sections and Focus Status is a KCB programme that applies to cricket clubs providing opportunities for young player development.
They provide an environment that helps players of all ages and abilities to develop and thrive whilst enjoying fantastic facilities and a great atmosphere. OECC has teams playing in both Saturday and Sunday leagues including junior age group leagues. From 3 year olds upwards OECC provides cricket as sport for all no matter what your ability level.
OE Bears opens up the wonderful world of cricket for children and young adults aged between nine and 19 years with learning and physical disabilities. The initiative, Kent’s first in this area, provides a structured, qualified coaching programme in a safe, friendly environment where attendees can enjoy a fun experience, while picking up the skills of the game and enhancing their social skills. OE Bears meets weekly and trains and plays indoors during the winter months. The team behind iplicit is proud to have sponsored the Bears since February 2014.
