An invited group of leading lights from the UK accountancy industry has taken part in the inaugural meeting of iplicit’s first advisory council.

Senior representatives from some of the country’s most progressive accountancy practices assembled to network, share insights and help shape iplicit’s strategic relationships with its partners.

The first iplicit Advisory Council (IAC) for Accountants took place at the London offices of Moore Kingston Smith.

iplicit views accountants as essential partners as it eyes further exponential growth after five years of triple-digit expansion.

Its CEO, Lyndon Stickley, revealed at the start of 2024 that iplicit would be working with an increasing number of top 100 accountant partners – and that these relationships would be important for growth domestically and abroad.

Matt Lewns, iplicit’s Partner Manager and a former Mazars accountant, welcomed partners to the meeting alongside Damon Anderson, former Regional Chief Operating Officer for Xero in the UK, who is now iplicit’s Product Marketing Manager.

Matt Lewns said: “Accountancy partners are a central element of our growth strategy. The partners that joined us for the first iplicit Advisory Council are leading the way in modernising their clients’ finances and have important insights to offer.

“Founding members of the IAC had a chance to share their experience of our products and services, to influence the development of our software and our business, and to network and collaborate with other industry leaders.

“We were able to lift the veil on some of iplicit’s plans and invite feedback from the people who know businesses best.

“The insights and feedback shared can only help us to continue to develop and evolve our proposition, achieve our strategic goals, and establish ourselves as the platform of choice for mid-market organisations.”

iplicit has future aims to launch advisory councils for other business channels as well, building on the experience of the IAC for Accountants.

iplicit launched into the market in 2019, providing an affordable route to powerful cloud accounting for organisations that had been held back by entry-level cloud systems or on-premises software.

It has grown by more than 100% in revenue and user numbers every year since and is on course to do so for a sixth consecutive year.

In 2024, iplicit has made number 18 among British businesses in the FT1000 list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies – and has been named among the top 10 mediums-sized employers featured in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work.
